Rules
The short version. Speaqsy is a free party game for players aged 16 and over, made and run by one person. Be decent to the people in your room. Rooms are temporary and an update can cut a game short: we make no promise that the service is always up.

1. Who runs the service
Speaqsy ("the Service") is an independent project made and run by one person in Poland under the name Three Neighbours Studios ("we").
You can reach us at dan@speaqsy.com.
2. What these rules are
This page explains how the Service works, what is not allowed in it, and what we do not guarantee. These are the house rules of a free game, not a contract. The one thing we ask of players is section 5; the rest is information. Nothing here takes away any rights the law gives you. What happens to data is described separately in the Privacy Policy.
3. Who can play
The game is for players aged 16 and over. Some game modes are written for an adult audience and are not suitable for children.
4. What the service is
The Service is a browser-based party game. One player creates a room, the others join it with a code or a link, and everyone plays on their own phone or computer.
It is free: nothing in it is paid or locked. There is no registration and no accounts: you type a nickname and play.
Two things about how it works are worth stating plainly, because they are consequences of the design rather than faults:
- Rooms are temporary. A room and everything in it lives in server memory. When the game ends or the server restarts, the room and its contents are gone. We keep no history of past games and cannot restore one.
- There is no uptime guarantee. We deploy updates, and a deployment ends any game in progress. We may also change, pause or shut down the Service, or any game mode in it, at any time.
You need your own internet connection and an up-to-date browser.
5. What is not allowed
Most of the Service consists of players writing things for each other to read. That only works if people behave. The Service must not be used to:
- harass, bully, threaten or humiliate anyone, whether in your room or through it;
- post content that is illegal, hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit involving minors, or that incites violence;
- share other people's personal information without their agreement;
- impersonate someone else, including through a nickname;
- spam or advertise;
- attack, overload or probe the Service, create rooms or connections automatically, or otherwise interfere with other people's games.
Rooms are private to the people who have the code, and nobody moderates them in real time. If someone in your room behaves badly, the host can remove them. You can also tell us at dan@speaqsy.com. What we can do about it is in section 8.
6. What you write in the game
Whatever you type during a game, words, guesses and answers, is yours, and you are the one responsible for it. It is shown only to the players in your room, only while that room exists, and it is discarded together with the room, as the Privacy Policy explains. We do not publish, sell or reuse it.
We do not watch rooms as they happen, but we can remove content or close a room if we learn of a serious problem.
7. Names and other people's material
Speaqsy and its game modes are our own work. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any other game, publisher or trade mark, including any that a mode may resemble in genre. Names that come up in the game belong to their owners.
Some material comes from elsewhere:
- The dictionary behind the Anagrams mode is derived from the OpenCorpora morphological dictionary and an open frequency word list, both published under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike. Our derived word list carries the same licence.
- Fonts are used under their own open licences, which ship with the Service.
If you believe something in the Service infringes your rights, write to dan@speaqsy.com with enough detail to identify it, and we will look into it.
8. Blocking
You can stop using the Service at any time; there is nothing to cancel.
We can restrict or block access, for a person, a room or an address, when the Service is being used in breach of section 5, when something threatens its stability or security, or when the law requires it. Blocking is the only measure these rules provide for.
9. No guarantees
The Service is free and is provided as it is and as available. We do not promise that it will run without interruptions or errors, that a game in progress will survive a restart, or that any mode will stay available. We are not responsible for costs or problems on your side of the connection, for lost or interrupted games, or for what other players write or do.
Nothing in this section limits any rights the law gives you as a consumer.
10. Changes to these rules
This is version 2.2, in effect since 2026-09-15. The rules can change, for instance if the Service ever gets accounts or paid features. The current version is always on this page, with its number and date at the top.
11. Contact
Three Neighbours Studios — dan@speaqsy.com. Questions, complaints and reports of bad behaviour all go to the same address. The project is run by one person, so a reply can take a few days.
